A DAY IN THE LIFE…

Book Club Badge Suggestion copy (1)

A Day in the Life of a Rave Reviews Book Club Member!

It generally starts out like most ordinary days and then something special happens. I woke up this morning, rubbed the sleep out of my blurry eyes, and got something to eat before starting my day. I had on my PJs and nightcap looking a fright. I decided to get on the computer to check my bank account before paying some small bills.

Lo and Behold! There was some activity from Amazon with what looked like deposits. I rubbed my eyes again to decipher what I was looking at. It takes awhile to get focused so early in the morning. There were three deposits from UK, US, and Canada. International Activity! How about that? I go to sleep and then wake up to find cash in my bank account.

I owe it all to Rave Reviews Book Club. I’ve had my share of being promoted. I was a Spotlight Author; Push Tuesday recipient; my book is posted on the catalogue page and I got a 5 star review. Just scroll down to February 24, 2014 to find it!

Nonnie Jules, president and founder of this awesome club is to be commended. It takes a lot of work to keep something of this magnitude going, but she has a vision. And its attracting the right kind of people. RRBC is achieving something no other book club has, recognition for its achievements and support of fellow Indie Authors. That support translates into the “bottom line.”

So why don’t you check it out and join us? See for yourself! Here is the link.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

About Shirley Harris-Slaughter

I love old buildings and history. That's why I ended up writing about the history that surrounded me all of my life - "Our Lady of Victory, the Saga of an African-American Catholic Community." Plus our church had closed and the school is torn down, so I felt it was imperative that we preserve the history or it would be lost forever.

How did I miss this post Shirley? Yes, it is always a surprise to wake up and see your name splashed all over the net. I always begin my congratulations to whomever is on the spot by saying. “surprise!” That’s the feeling. 🙂

Joy, there is so much going on that’s its easy to miss something. The good thing is you can always go back to something and it will be recycled by someone in the club. And it never gets old except for the season in this case. It was close to Halloween here so I ran the pumpkin. I’m right in the middle of your book “Legends” and can’t put it down. lol

  2. Congrats! I’ve had pretty much the same experience with the club. Even now, members will leave reviews for my books, which is great! 🙂

A very good word about Rave Review book club #RRBC better than my recruitment blog for them.

You are right about that Bruce. Don’t drink much coffee anyway. I was told that this kind of thing happens in Amway which I was a part of once in my life. It never happened there, but experiencing this reminds me of that time when I wished something like that would happen. The only thing I got out of Amway was my husband – but that’s another story. lol

Kathryn, I feel the same about you. You are a strong woman. And I admire that. I think I would have become so discouraged with what you are going through. Keep hanging in there. Waking up this morning prompted this blog for recruitment, although I think I am late getting it to Nonnie so it will be a stand-along. I missed the information somehow.
