About Shirley Harris-Slaughter

I love old buildings and history. That's why I ended up writing about the history that surrounded me all of my life - "Our Lady of Victory, the Saga of an African-American Catholic Community." Plus our church had closed and the school is torn down, so I felt it was imperative that we preserve the history or it would be lost forever.

Hi Shirley! I do follow your blog and must have accidentally deleted the message when going through my notifications – probably my fault as when I comment on any RRBC post or comment, I check the little box that asked if I want to be notified when there is a comment posted. Needless to say, I ended up with hundreds of notifications during the conference.

WHAT A GREAT SURPRISE!!! Thank you so much, dear lady! I know there was a lot of work to put something like this together. I am most humbled and appreciate your kind gesture. God Bless!

Well thank you John. I’m just glad you found me. You would be surprised how often this happens. Sometimes members (including me) are not aware that we need to be following each other in the club.

Thanks Yvette and Robbie for being here. John doesn’t know he’s here which means maybe he’s not following my blog.
