DAY 19
FAMILY
I was debating whether to do this post right now or not do it. My sister, Joyce, is in ICU and so all I will be doing is waiting. When my son gets here, we will go to be with her.
Had to go out early this morning in order to fax a document for my brother. Trying to keep up with guardianship duties. Also had to make monthly contacts to members of my organization. Seems like when it rains it pours. I am blogging during this lull time.

I ate some guacamole spread on English Muffin and had my protein drink when I got up this morning. My online grocery order arrived early so had to rise early. Glad that’s all done.
I was planning on doing a normal blog and talk a little bit about my new release since it is the Book of the Month. Title is Joyce Winifred Harris-Burkes: HOW I REMEMBER MY MAMA. I’m putting it out there for now. Raters Not Haters is coming up on Saturday 11:00 AM CT. I plan on being there. Hope to see you all too.
Well, I’m going to get ready to go see my sister. See you soon!

I’m so sad to hear your sister is in the hospital, and I was praying for her. I should know by now that god never listens to me. This is my lame way of trying to cheer you up. I hope she comes home soon.

I don’t know how I’m doing it either. I’m on auto pilot. Lol!

Sorry to hear about your sister, Shirley. Is she named for your mother? I will miss Raters Not Haters tomorrow because I will be at Red Sox Winter Weekend. I will listen to the recording, though.

Yes, Wanda, she has our mother’s first name. I wonder what the story is behind that. The whole family is rallying around her. I will keep everyone posted as to her progress.

I’m praying for you and your sister, Shirley. Glad you’re keeping your strength up with your protein shakes, and I must admit, guacamole on an English muffin sounds delicious. I read your story about your mom and enjoyed it very much. Congrats on its being the book of the month! Well deserved. Hope all goes well with your sister.
Blessings,
Patty

I’ve been religious about what I eat. It at least has to be organic. I’m happy you read the tribute to my mother. I don’t imagine my mother would have believed that I actually published a book about her.
