DAY 29

SAYING GOODBYE
Our sister, Joyce, passed away at 12:54 AM, January 30, 2023. It’s ironic that this is also her birthday. She came in on that day and went out on the same day. All of the family got to say their goodbyes. Clyde showed up with his entire family. Old wounds were healed, and everyone hugged and kissed each other at the hospital. I think a miracle occurred when Clyde, Tony and Carol finally made up right before Joyce left us. I never thought that would ever happen.
Arrangements are being made as I sit here and type this journal. Tony and Carol are working together to finalize everything.
I want to thank you Nonnie for being there and adjusting everything around me. I clearly was not thinking about the Book Discussion which was scheduled for today. I forgot to put my collection in the collection basket at church because my mind was all over the place. I’ve been a step behind since this journey started. Nonnie, you were there for me, and all the members, you were right there with me on this journey. So kind and so caring; every one of you. You are my second family.
I love you all!
I will keep you posted. God Bless Everybody!!

It’s beautiful when family members can come together at this sad time. I’ve heard that righteous people die on their birthdays. I’m sure your sister was one of them.

You have my heartfelt condolences, Shirley. What a comfort it must be to know that your family reconciled in the hospital before Joyce left. She must have entered Heaven with a light heart, grateful for the birthday gift of a loving, united family. Keeping you and your family in prayer.
Love and blessings,
Patty

Our condolences, Shirley! Thank you so much for taking us on your journey. Joyce is in a better place now and I see that her death brought the family back together again. Too bad it had to be a funeral to get everyone to make up. Prayers continuing!

Ain’t that the truth, John. It’s so ironic that it took a death to bring the family together. Joyce wanted that and was trying to make it happen when she was alive.
